low volume furnace, low volume transfer line and low volume gas cell
low purge gas flow rates
stainless steel, beam-conforming gas cell with long path length
unique dual window assembly
easy cleaning
MCT detector as standard
vacuum-tight TG/STA - interface
choice of coupling units (internal/external) for a maximum flexibility
Optimized coupling interface between the two instruments provides an outstanding performance:
minimized dilution effects
minimized evolved gas mixing and decomposition
constantly heated line up to max. 230 °C
short response times
analysis of non-volatile compounds by measurement under reduced pressure
high detection sensitivity
excellent resolution of closely overlapping decomposition steps
The TG - FTIR coupling was designed in a close cooperation by NETZSCH and BRUKER engineers to provide a truly optimized interface between the two instruments: Thermobalance (TG, STA) and Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FT-IR).
The coupling yields a powerful analytical technique that combines the quantitative capabilities of TG and the qualitative capabilities of FT-IR spectroscopy. Such coupled system covers wide areas of application:
outgasing of materials
detection of residuals
analysis of additives, aging and decomposition processes
characterization of natural and raw materials
desorption behavior
analysis of synthesis processes
